Privacy Policy

How we use

  • Any personal data you send us — your name, email or message content — is used only to answer your enquiry and to log the correction in our editorial ticket system. We do not sell it, share it with Lucky World or any other operator, and we do not use it to profile you across the web. We also use correction messages to improve the Lucky World pages themselves: if the same point confuses several readers, we rewrite the paragraph rather than answer each person individually. That use is anonymous and your original message is not quoted in the updated page.

Your rights

  • Under UK GDPR you have the right to see what we hold, to correct it, to ask for it to be deleted and to object to our using it. Write to the editorial inbox with the subject line "Data request" — we reply within one calendar month, as the law requires. You can also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we are mishandling your data. We would rather you came to us first — most issues are quicker to resolve directly — but the ICO route is open to you at any time.

Retention

  • Correspondence is kept for 24 months in case the same correction comes up again. Cookie-based analytics data is kept for 14 months at most, in aggregated form only — we never link it back to the person who visited the page. At the end of the retention period, correspondence is anonymised rather than kept with your name attached, so later teams can learn from the pattern of questions without being able to identify you. Server logs are rotated and overwritten on a 30-day cycle for operational reasons.

Third parties

  • Our hosting partner stores pages and server logs on our behalf. We use a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not set cross-site cookies. No advertising networks, no social-media pixels, no fingerprinting scripts are installed on Lucky World pages here. We do publish a Lucky World link that opens the operator's own site; from that moment you are on Lucky World's domain and their privacy policy applies — not ours. We cannot and do not share any identifier with the operator when you click through: the link does not include a reader ID.

What we collect

  • We log the page you looked at, the broad region you were in and the device type. We do not collect your IP in a readable form after a session ends, we do not record keystrokes, and we do not watch you move between tabs. If you write to us, we obviously keep your email and message until the ticket is closed. We do not accept comments on these pages, so no commenter name, email or avatar is stored. If we ever add comments in future, we will update this policy and give you a clear opt-in before any new data is collected.

Cookies brief

  • This site sets one strictly necessary cookie that remembers your consent choice. The optional analytics cookie is off by default — you turn it on from the banner. No marketing cookies run on these pages, not even if you click through to Lucky World (that is a separate domain with its own policy). You can switch the analytics cookie off again at any time from the small "Cookies" link in the footer. Clearing cookies in your browser also removes our consent record, which means the banner will show again on your next visit — that is deliberate, not a bug.
