Sources
We rely on three kinds of source: the operator's own pages (T&Cs, cashier, licence badge), our own session recordings, and public regulators such as the UK Gambling Commission. If a fact only lives in a marketing email we cannot verify, we leave it out until we see it on an official page. When Lucky World updates a page, we save the older version via archive.org so that we can compare what changed and whether our review is still accurate. Marketing emails, affiliate newsletters and sponsored posts on third-party sites are not treated as sources.
Principles
No operator pre-approves our copy, no sponsor sees it before publication, and no bonus bump changes a verdict. Every money claim must be traceable to a page or a dated screenshot; every opinion must be labelled as opinion. If we cannot write it independently, we do not write it. Any editor at this site must declare if they hold an account at Lucky World, if a close relative works for the operator, or if they have taken part in a trip or event paid for by the brand. Declared conflicts are posted on the author bio — we do not try to pretend they are not there.
Update cycle
Pages that mention bonuses, payment methods or app versions are refreshed on a quarterly schedule and every time we hear of a licence or payment change at Lucky World. Static material (history, policy) is reviewed once a year — the date of the last review is noted at the top of the page. We also set a watch on operator press releases that mention Lucky World, so a product launch or payment change triggers a review ahead of the next scheduled refresh. Pages that go more than six months without any update are automatically flagged for an editor to re-read, even if nothing seems to have changed.
Corrections
If a reader flags an error and we confirm it, we fix the page the same working week and add a short note at the bottom explaining what changed. Silent edits of money claims are not allowed on this site — the correction note is part of our policy, not a courtesy. We log every correction with the date, the editor's name and a short explanation. Big corrections — anything that changes the headline figure, the verdict or the welcome offer — are also announced in our next monthly roundup so that regular readers do not miss them.
Fact checking
Before publication, a second editor independently repeats every money claim in the draft against the original source. For live-rate figures (withdrawal times, support latency), we check from a fresh UK IP within 48 hours of publishing, not from an older session. Two reviewers must agree on the final verdict rating before it is published. If they disagree, the page is held for a joint re-test rather than published with an average — a rating neither reviewer actually gave is not useful to anybody.
Sponsored content
We do not accept sponsored pages, paid guest posts or affiliate placements inside the body of a review. Affiliate links do exist and are disclosed on the Affiliate Disclosure page, but the editorial text and the verdict are written independently of any commercial arrangement. We also do not display display-ad networks on Lucky World pages — no banner ads, no retargeting, no auto-play videos — because they would compete for attention with the material we actually want you to read.
